Dogs have spent centuries warming our feet, following us through the house, keeping us company on our worst days, and regarding us with a patience that can only be described as saintly. They have also, somehow, been left out of the great canon.
Hound & Hudson exists to correct that oversight. We create richly imagined books that present each dog as the muse, the monarch, the visionary, the icon their people have always known them to be. Every volume places one beloved subject within a different cultural tradition: art history, music history, and the many worlds still to come.

Each Hound & Hudson book is created to order in the United States. We begin with a photograph and the essentials of your subject, then build a personalized collection of portraits, captions, and family mythology around them.
Every volume is reviewed by our in-house team, then individually printed and bound to exacting standards.
Nothing is pulled from a shelf or is already sitting in a warehouse. Each volume begins with one dog, one photograph, and a lineage waiting to be properly documented.
